Cracks in camer frame

I hear that frames made by Lippert are developing flex cracks above where the spring shackles are welded to the frame. The news is all over the Cardinal website according to a friend. Has anyone had problems like this with their Montana campers??

I checked my frame and it has a 1 inch by 8 inch square tube welded above all of the shackles.

I ave a 04 and the Lippert frame is doing just fine over the spring pads and else where, I have heard of a few frame problems but not that many percentage wise.
Is cardinal a keyston product?

It looks as though earlier model Cardinals had a square tube welded under the frame and the spring hangers were welded to them and the springs were mounted under the axle.Later models have the spring on top of the axle and the hangers welded right on the frame. It is the earlier models having the problem

His is a 2004 Cardinal 36' 5th wheel. Forrest River is the manufacturer. Evidently alot of the Cardinals with Lippert frames are having problems.
