Ceiling Paint Color
Need to do some repairs on my ceiling (loose staples) . Has anyone had to do this? If so, What brand and color paint did you use to repaint? '06 3400RL.
Thanks Phil

Phil, mine doesn't have paint, it appears to be vinyl coated paneling. You might try one of the colored wax sticks they use on paneling. I know I have seen some ivory or eggshell colored sticks at various HDWR stores... Dave

Dave, I will look for some of that. I should have explained a little more. It's the 2 inch molding strips that cover the joints that I need to use the paint on. I guess I could get something close and just repaint all the strips the same color. Did I mention I hate painting??? Even just a little bit..........

IIRC, and boy, I don't always, I thought they used a wood putty type product to fill all those little holes. White, or color to match the wood (or wood wanna be stuff).
Or the wax sticks Dave suggests.

I had one of the strips come loose and when I tried to shoot a brad into it and it bent several.
The piece above it is aluminum (steel on the newer models)
I ended up using rubber cement to re glue.
You may be able to use a very small screw and just go into the paneling.
Good luck.
I touched it up with off white flat latex paint. You can get a small bottle and brush at a craft store.

Wayne, I was afraid of something like that. Do you think a small sheet metal screw and some DAP wall caulk to cover the screw head and then a dab of paint would work. OR did you remove the entire strip and glue it OR just a small section? I don't want to mess this up. Appreciate you answering so quickly.......Thanks Phil

I used my brad air gun and that worked to nail it in place, then we used some white-out or liquid paper over the nails.
