Warranty on roof

On my 2002 Montana fifth wheel I have just discovered that the roof has failed. The rubber membrane has come unglued from the plywood layer in a square foot area in front of the first air vent. Within this square foot area the membrane has several rips caused by the air flow while traveling. In addition there are several ripples in the membrane in other areas where it has come unglued. Has anyone out there had a similar problem? I have learned from this forum that the roof has a 12 year warranty and will taking it in for warranty service soon.

Have had a similar problem with ours 3 different times. The roof developed several large bubbles in the roof. We had no tears in the roof on ours seeing how we caught it in time. You need to contact your dealer and see what they will do for you. Ours wanted me to turn it over to our insurance company, but I told them to contact Keystone about it. They took pictures and sent them to Keystone. Keystone said to replace the roof. It did not cost us anything. They say you have 12 years on the roof against tears. If you have anymore questions about our repair you can Email me.

Larry: Does this mean if you accidently tear your roof that Keystone will replace it?

I would not think that they would repair it at no cost. On ours the glue that they were using was turning loose, causing bubbles in the roof. To me it was a defect from the manufacture. The trailer was less than 18 months old.If you accidently tore your roof the dealer may help you or you could have your insurance cover it. A small hole you could use some sealant on it. They also make a repair kit that you can buy at most rv dealers.

I also have noticed that my roof is covered with blue spots however the area of the roof over the slides does not have them. Has anyone found similar spots on their roof? I have no idea what could have caused it.

Larry: Yeah thats what I was thinking on the warranty. I do have small tear spots on the side of the roof over the entrance door that I used some sealant on and it is doing the job so far but dose not look very good.
