Samsung & Directv

I recently purchased a 3750FL. Trying to figure out the best way to configure the coaxial cables and setting up the Samsung TV and Entertainment Unit (EU) with a Directv Box. I have 3 exterior connections (Cable In, Living Rm, and Bedroom). Underneath the Samsung Entertainment Unit there are 3 coaxial cable connectors (none marked). If I bypass the Samsung EU, I can get Directv with only TV speakers (using middle int/ext connectors). This doesn't seem like the ideal setup. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have a SWM HD dish. So I have 1 cable coming from the Dish to a 21 volt power unit to a SWM splitter then 2 cables 1 to satellite in the bedroom and 1 to the living room.

The TV in the rear (living room) has only 2 coaxial cable jacks the output is the top one on my unit.

In the bedroom I have 4 coaxial cable jacks. The jacks are 2 input 1 from cable (haven’t used that must connect to the main cable input in storage bay) other is for satellite. 2 are output I to bedroom TV other to TV in storage bay. I have a small piece of cable that is used as a jumper between inputs and outputs.

I hooked my Samsung up with a HDMI cable from the TV to the Direct TV HD Box. I do have sound coming out of my EU. I have an optical cable going from the TV to the EU. I think that is how the sound is getting from the TV back to the EU. I would look for that.

I replaced the original Samsung receiver in our 3750 with the equivalent Samsung Blu-ray model (HT-C6600)that had a HDMI input. I connected the HDMI output from the DirecTV receiver to the HDMI input of the HT-C6600 which gave me the best quality surround sound for satellite and Blu-ray movies. I routed the audio from the TV back to the new Samsung receiver as an input to be used when the TV is running off the antenna input.

I did not replace the speakers since the new ones were identical to the old ones, instead I gave the old unit and speakers to our daughter for her apartment.

Thanks Jim, Kyle & Bev.
I will try again tonight if I get home in time to try these configurations out. I do not have Blu-ray disks (yet) so I will not be able to get that a try. I was thinking if I have a cable the would basically do the same thing by going from the Directv box into a different in source connector.
Thanks for the quick response!
