Gas line for heater and wiring TV outlet

Spent the day hooking up the Mr. heater 20,000 BTU Propane heater, installing outlet and pulling wire for the security monitor.

You know Ozz, about the time you get done with all the mods, it will be time to upgrade to a new Monty and start all over again.

I would love to Tutor you.
I had a young guy that wanted to learn the HVAC trade, he quit a $50,000 a year job with Zep chemical to carry my toolbox for 4 years for $10.00 an hr. I taught him the trade, he got some schooling and now has his own mechanical company making $150,000 a year. And he loves what he is doing.
Back to the point, I appreciate it. Thank you
If nothing else, I always tell people if your talents lie in other places, Barter with someone who has the skills you don't.
Welcome to the Forum, I know how excited you are with the new toy.

The way I hooked-up the heater, there is a strong possibility that I can't run the Propane burner on the water heater when I am running the 20,000 BTU heater.
If this was a priority, that is running them both at the same time, I would feed the tee with 1/2" pipe, or 1/2" OD copper, then branch off with two 3/8" lines.
I have the water heater on a timer, so it only runs first thing in the morning, a little at lunch time, and in the evening, dinner time and bed time.
I think the way I have it hooked up will work fine with our travel schedule and locations.
I can always feed it with 1/2" later if needed.

I like your new addition, but am curious about why the heater and not your furnace? What amount of condensation does this heater produce?

suunto,
Good questions. We plan on doing 'Off grid' camping. We need to make each battery amp and each gallon of Propane last as long as possible. The furnace works super, keeps the trailers warm. It is also an energy hog. About 40% of the Propane is wasted, go out and warm your hands on the exhaust, that is wasted fuel. My furnace pulls 6.5 amps, a single factory-supplied battery wouldn't last 20 hrs with the normal lighting, furnace and other loads if not connected to a generator or 'Park power'.
My heater is close to 100% efficient, you don't have to use the small fan on it, but if you do, it pulls around 1/2 amp.
With this 'Open flame' heater, also the Catalytic heaters, you need to open a roof vent a little to vent the humid air. It isn't bad.

Edit: Make that 5.6 amps. Dyslexic....

Well? I like it and plan on doing the same thing to mine. The battery is exactly what I was thinking about on how this would save the charge.
