Battery, batteries

Those of us who have two batteries and no spark plugs should be aware that you can have a marginal battery, and not know it.
My passenger side battery was down real low, (10 volts) my drivers side was good-to-go.
I put in the Sears Platinum 9?30-960? CCA batteries today, $435.00 out the door...ouch! But I am planning for the future, will be poor as a church mouse then. 4 year warranty.
The truck spins over like a sewing machine now.
I didn't have a battery removal and carry strap, so I made one.

I have come to the conclusion that when I replace my batteries, one of the criteria for the new ones will be that they have both side terminals and top posts. Side terminals are great for a trouble free connection, but when you add electrical stuff, the top terminals make it a whole lot easier. I'm also thinking about going with something that has a deeper reserve draw like Optima Yellow tops.
