Pressure Pro
Well, I finally, got it okay (last week). Bought the Pressure Pro system, installed it before the Lake Siskiyou Rally, but had a couple of problems. When we got back, called and Pat and I walked through the whole set up only to discover that one sensor had no seal and one that did not work. She sent me two more and now I am all set up...and just it time to head out on my trip to KY Sunday afternoon. If you want this system, Pat is great to work with and I would encourage you to give her the business.

There is a forum topic somewhere asking for everyone's experience with the system. A member found that they were seeing a 14-15 pressure increase after driving for a while on 80 lb tires. Please report back your experience. Most of us are guessing a 6-7 lb increase but we just don't know.
Thanks!

Glad you got it working right, Michael. It really does give you a sense of confidence.

I'm very happy with mine, you can check the pressure on each tire before, during and after you travel.I removed mine to change the pressure on the TV when not towing and lost a rubber seal on one of the sensors and they mailed me some more free of charge right away.I'm not only happy with the product but the support as well.

We had our alarm go off several times when the pressure went from 80# to 93 OR 94#. We finally figured out that they were doing the same thing before we got the Pressure Pro but we didn't realize it. We just increased the difference before the warning light sounds (instructions are in the manuel) and now we don't get the constant warning.
We just love our system and would never be without it.

In terms of the pressure increase on the road. There are many variables.. Outside temp, temp of the pavement, type of pavement, speed. Type of tire (LT,ST), weight of camper. I had posted this on another thread somewhere. We found a difference between the ST and LT tire. Example the other day, outside temp 90/91, speed 62/65 we increased to 90/91 psi from 80ps1. Later when the temp cooled we went down to 87/88. Each of us will have to find the numbers that are average for them. We also would not leave the driveway without the system..

Before I bought my Pressure Pro System from the McFalls, I was having trouble justifying it. Then I thought about the blown tire I had and how much money I had invested in our truck and rig above and beyond the purchase price, so I figured it might just be the right thing to do. This forum was instrumental in my purchase of the system. My tire pressures rise about 8 to 11° F above the cold pressure when traveling. Even in the hottest weather, we haven't exceeded 92° F. As was mentioned, everyone will have their own variance that will be their norm.

My habit, pre Pressure Pro, was to check torque on the lug nuts every day and also tire pressure before setting out. On the last two trips of 5K miles or more I have lost at least one tire. I don't begrudge the tire, well, I really do, however the big pain is repairing the damage to the fender, et al. I am heading out Sunday from WA to KY and figure if I make it there and back and don't lose a tire, I have paid for the system. So far I only have the run from Lake Siskiyou to WA to go by, but the psi only went up to 91#. Since the sensors come preset at 24% overage my guess is they expect an increase up to the mid 90s or so. We'll see.

We also have the Pressure Pro system and love it. Quick and easy to see what the pressures are before hitting the road. Have a safe and enjoyable road trip.
