Marathon is the name of the tire.
Curious about feedback myself.
Note - Goodyear just came out with a new size Marathon - ST235/85R16 LRE. It has a load rating of 3,640lbs@80psi compared to the Marathon Keystone has been using ST235/80R16 that has a load rating of 3,420@80psi. Gives a little extra for those 7,000 lb axles.
Still a China made tire.
It would be good to hear what the history is on these new E rated ST tires by Goodyear. I haven't heard anything here - sans reports of Marathons on other trailers over the years with a lower rating. I actually have them on my boat trailer. After 12 years, I forced myself to replace them - again with Marathon.

I had Goodyear Marathons on our previous (SOB) trailer.
After 2 of them blew out on the same trip I replaced them all, including the ones I had to purchase on the trip.
I may be biased (pun intended) but I will never buy another Goodyear tire for any purpose.
I've never had a problem with Bridgestone AT Revos. I'm on my second set of them on my truck and I intend to put them on my 2955 as well.

This 5er is the 4th that I have had Goodyear Marathons on but the 1st made in china. My boat trailer has GY Marathons on it (6yrs old) & no problems. I've run chinese tires on my equipment trailers several years & no problems. That said I bought a new 07 Larado with Milester chinese tires & they cracked & delaminated within 1000 miles & I replaced with gy marathons u.s. made. The verdic is still out on the new ones made in china but on these heavier 09s were kind of caught in between. If I start hearing lots going bad I will change. Most O.E.M. tires seam to be light weight & on my new trucks I useally have to put on new tires pretty quick because of flats. Theres still a lot of dealers & consumers that don't know what cold air pressure means! It seems that most of the chinese rv tires in the past were junk. We will see if Montana has learned there lesson & maybe these chinese tires will be built to better specs. But probably not & there will be 1000s more on this subject.

I took photos of the sidewalls of the Monty tires. They are Goodyear Marathon ST235/80R16, load range E, rated for 3420 lbs. in "single" configuration. Does single mean the tandem axles of the Monty (thinking that "dual might mean "dually")?

Single means one tire at each end of the axle. Dual tires means dually type...2 tires at the end of each side of the axle.

So far so good on my Goodyears from China. About a year old and 7,000 miles. I have always had good luck with Goodyears both cars trucks and trailers.

Only have about 1k miles on the Marathons on our '08. With all the various opinions in posts, I will be watching them closely, but will run them till they show me something negative.

Our Goodyear's are a year old now and doing good. I did replace the rubber valve stems with metal, and the tires seem to hold air better now.
