New member from Colorado

In 2010 we purchase a 2003 Montana 3295RK that was hardly used...it still had the stickers on the kitchen sink. We have enjoyed travelling south to warmer climates every winter and we return to our home in Colorado for the summer. Since the decals on Montana's are subject to fading and peeling we have removed them and repainted the outside....doesn't even look like a Montana. We wanted the outside to be as nice as the inside.

We hope to find some good tips on Montana's or ???

Welcome to the forum!! Just jump in and participate. If you don't know the answer to a certain question, just make something up. It is good exercise for your imagination.

We started in Lakewood CO 3 years ago and we haven't found where we are going yet. But, we have had a good time looking.

Welcome!
We're in Colorado Springs.
Can you post a picture of your decal-less rig? I'll bet others here would like to see it as well.

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. I wish I knew how to post the picture of the newly painted Montana. Can someone give me a hint how to do it?

You asked for a little help on posting pictures. I wrote up an instruction sheet some time ago on posting a "States Visited Map". http://www.montanaowners.com/forums/...ad.php?t=40564

The States Visited Map is a JPG just like pictures. So ignore the part about creating the map and start with uploading the picture to a hosting site. The MOC doesn't store your pictures (I have no idea why). So you have to find a site which will store it for you. Two popular sites are www.tinypic.com and www.photobucket.com.

Tinypic doesn't care who you are but if the photo isn't accessed for a long time, they delete it. Photobucket wants your name and email address, but in return they don't delete your pictures if they aren't viewed for some time.

I am a Tinypic user and the write up pointed to shows how to use that method. The intended destination for the States Visited picture was someones signature. But you merely paste the IMG tags and text into a posting to have a picture appear in your posting.

Email me at cyoungre@gmail.com if the writeup isn't clear or you are a Photobucket user. I know how it works in Photobucket also (a little different from Tinypic).

Both products will resize your picture for you to fit the MOC size requirements (800 x 600 maximum).

Holler if you need help. Email is so much easier than using MOC PMs.

Could you please tell me how to post a picture of the rig? Also, I don't know how to post a picture of us to use as Avatar.

Very new at posting pictures. I have a lot to learn. However, these are a couple pictures of the newly painted Montana. Like I said, it doesn't even look like a Montana. Wish I had a "Montana" decal to put on the back.

Welcome to the forum from Livermore, Colorado.
Good morning! Thanks for the welcome words. We have been talking about coming your way for a trip to Red Feather Lakes. We've never been to that area. Do you have any information on campgrounds near the lakes? I looked on Reserve America and saw lots of places but it would be good to have first hand information. We camp with a boat and love to fish.

Thank you for the warm welcome to the MOC. Did you see the pictures I posted? Finally figured out how to post. It's really cumbersome. What part of ColoSprings are you in. We are 30 miles east in Calhan.
