You worked for 47 years on one job? What did you do? I quit a job I had for 15 years went to work for my self and never looked back.

I will be unemployed as of January 15th. after 47 years of working. I have been very much blessed to have only been laid off once in this period back in 1970 and then only for 2 months. A lot of very fine hard working folks out in todays work force are just are not finding that kind of stability.

So Ms. Barbara is already asking when will I find another job. Any body know of any one looking for a part time worker who likes to take off fishing or camping at the drop of a hat. That's what my new resume is going say. Will work hard when I show up. Actually I am just kidding about that part.

Congratulations on retiring! We have at least 3 more years before we can even think about it! So looking forward to that time when we can go when we want to! Hope you enjoy every min of the retirement and get to do some things you and the Mrs have thought about!

Congrats on the pending lifechange. I have been discussing retirement with DW and every time I bring it up, she manages to find a way to delay it. Now looking at a S&B kitchen remodel so the retirement date is now looking like sometime around 2050!!
