black tank water flush will not take water
I have a 2005 38ft big sky and the black water flush will not work. I don't know where it is? Any body know?

I have tried to use it but the water does not move through. There must be a check value or something holding it back. I don't know where the end part might be as it goes into the tank.

The check may be right ar the hook up point. remove the screen and inspect there

Already did that. I also pushed a wire in the pipe and it went about ten feet into the pipe. Must be in the tank.

Our take on this, may be off base??
Ours worked for a number of years, but then, minerals and interior scum took its toll. It no longer works.
We feel that the spray nozzle thingy on the inside of the tank is plugged up or covered up with paper, or stuff. Even though we use Calgon or something like wise in our tanks, especially when we are running, our unit sits sometimes for months. Things dry out and turn rock/concrete hard in months.
We feel the nozzle is encrusted, solidly, no worka.
We will not be fixing this (current feelings anyway, open for changing minds, eh??). At one time we actually were able to fill the tank up (used a LOT of fresh water, little refuse) and let it sit for 24 to 36 hours. Ya, if you are living in the unit, it is hard to keep that full for that long. Plus we worry about all that weight just sitting there in those tanks that are known to have connection issues and breakag.
When we dared to do that a couple of times we did get the sprayer to function again. But, the next time we were grounded for months on end, same issue.
Al tried a few other measures, like turning the water on and off, sorta using pressure to try and unplug, that also concerned us, if we totally blew out that sprayer, ick, too many issues and concerns to even discuss.
So, at this point, ours does not work, and probably never will again. Never say never, but - - -

Carol,
Just out of curiosity, has Al tried compressed air? I know the winterization procedure requires the balck tank flush to be either winterized using compressed air or some type of hand pump to pump the pink stuff in.

Mine stopped working and it was the anti siphon valve---I have an '05 3295 RK and it is located under the bath room sink--

Anti siphon valve changed at least 2 times, made no difference.
Bingo, believe he did that too. When he finds this thread, he'll let me know what I remember wrong!

You might want to try http://www.5starhappycamper.com enzymes. They work for us, and they have a stronger version for the problem you are describing.

Mine stoped working I tried air pressure , water pressure then I called up the company that makes the flush system, he told me the spray nozzle could have paper or waist on it and it got hard plugguin the spray head. he told me to fill the tank all the way to the top just before the toilet seal with clean water, and then add some enzymes let it soak for a few days and see if thst does it if not you will have to drop the bottom skin and remove the nosel and replace it or drill out the holes with a 1/16th drill bit. right now mine has been soaking for a month and I will be bringing it home to see if the soak worked. if not I'll take it to a RV store and have them fix it.

Filled my tank to the brim with fresh water with some laundry detergent added, let it soak for a couple of days, .....and bingo!
Tank rinse worked fine again.

My 2008 had problem with flushing black tank. Dealer replaced back-flow prevntr part-no 88-8230. It was in the wall. It corrected problem.

OK here is the outcome of my stopage and what I didto fix the problem and it works.
Go the a store that sells Rid ex septic tank and pipe cleaner, I used the whole darn box mixed it in some hot water until desolved then pored that down the toilet then filled the black tank with water all the way to where I could see it in the pipe looking down the toilet I let it sit for two days and then drained the tank it cleans the tank and the spray nozel it worked very well for me I hope it will solve your problem.
One happy camper stuff is expensive way more than Rid Ex, especally there tank super flush stuff but it works.

The first time We tried ours water sprayed everywhere but in the tank. Reconnected the hose and tried again, same result. Thought something was plugged and "blessed" the dealer for a lousy PDI. DW suggested and extra washer in the hose connection. Bingo. problem solved!
