Local RV resources near Rally

Is anyone aware of RV dealers close to the rally site? We are in the market to change the two chairs in our Mountaineer for Recliners and, of course, all we have found at "non-RV" stores are too large to fit when the slide comes in.

Maybe a little "treasure hunt" in the area for some goodies is in order?

I don't know specific names, but the area we will be in is one of the largest areas for producing RV's in the USA. There are several dealers there, and I believe there is a
new(er) Camping World in the area. I have no idea if there are "outlet" stores there for RV suppliers.

Allow a few extra days before or after the Rally, you are gonna be overwhelmed by what is in the general area. Trailers everywhere, and MORE!

Steve Reigle posted on May 16 under MOC rally campground info that there is at least one RV salvage store in Elkhart. There is also a Camping World.

Have you checked out a Lazy Boy store? We found one that would fit in our Montana. It is just a recliner and don't swivel. The one we had wouldn't lock in the up position. The newer ones in the trailers now do.

Thanks for all the comments - lazy boy was one of our first stops and too big! Hopefully the RV salvage store may be entertaining

Hart City in Elkart is amazing. Lots of Montanas, and others, also a Camping World location.

if you are looking for some parts around the Elkart area go to http://www.amishcountry.org. They have a list there for dealers and parts in Elkart County Maybe this is better http://www.amishcountry.org./rv.lifestyle/index.php

Dianancolin, we put a lazyboy in ours but it's one of the smaller units, not the great big lazyboy. They are available.

Also, as Bob and Sheri noted, there is at least one RV Salvage store in Elkhart, IN. It's not junk, it's good stuff, mostly new. I don't recall if they had chairs.

Also, the Camping World is located at the Hart City RV site on the south side of Elkhart. I think they're a Montana dealer and presumably Mountaineer, also. It's been over a year since we were in the area so I'm not positive they sell Montanas but I think they do.

If you want the ones that come new in the Mountaineers as options (I assume that option is available?) you might check with Keystone and see if they'll sell you one while you're in the area. I don't know if they do that.

I just bought a new Montana from Hart City RV Supercenter in Elkhart, and am currently staying in their customer campground awaiting delivery tomorrow. A new Camping World is on the north side of the building. (I'm like a kid in a candy store!) The address is 2311 S. Nappanee St (SR-19). Call toll-free 800-448-3081 or local 219-295-5793. The web site is www.hartcityrv.com. They also sell Mountaineers. They have a huge showroom and outside lot with an enormous inventory of RVs. There are at least 2 RV surplus stores about 3 miles north on SR-19. Be advised of construction on SR-19 from US-20 north past Hart City, narrowing the road to 2 very narrow lanes and slowing/stopping traffic especially on weekdays. Big rigs can make it through, but be very careful.

Gypsy, we're just a few miles north of you at Elkhart CG, on the north side of Elkhart. We plan to visit CW on Tuesday but sounds like you'll be gone by then. In any case I think I saw you said you'll be at the rally so we'll get to meet you there. This is really getting exciting.
