New Montana owner in North Carolina

Hi! Just closed the deal on my new 5er (see my sig). I should pick it up next week. Can't wait!
It was reading all these posts on this site that convinced me to get a Montana.
I am a dummy when it comes to fifth wheels so I won't be posting any answers here, but will come here all the time to learn things.
Thanks..........John

John, welcome to the Montana family; I think you will be happy with your choice in the long haul. Montanas are extremely beautiful units.

Don’t worry about being able to post too many answers to questions; we all experience that to one degree or another. Some people here have a vast wealth of knowledge while others of us are gleaning more from the combination of experience and this site. MOC is truly invaluable for Montana owners!

Congratulations and welcome, John! One thing you may have already figured out, there are NO dumb questions here. Nobody will chastise you for any question. So, if you don't know, just ask. That's exactly how I learned and how I continue to learn. There is, as others said, a wealth of information here and a terrific group of people willing to share their knowledge.

If you get a chance, check out the Rally Around section of the forum for upcoming rallies. It's a great way to meet other members.

John,
We were all dummies once! Just ask away. On our first outing many years ago, we had no idea how to dump. We didn't even have the right equipment. Thank goodness there was a nice old gentlemen parked across from us who told us what to buy and when we came back from Camping World he came over and showed us how to hook it all up and how to dump. Thank the Lord for him.
Happy trails.......................

John,
Best of luck with the new trailer. You said you have been reading the post. I did a search on delivery inspection and found this link in Glen and Lorraines previous posts. I think that is key to ensuring you find as much as you can quickest. Also camp in it soon close to the dealer so those other assembly bugs are found quick. Enjoy.
pre-delivery inspection There are more out there but this is a start. With the excitement sometimes this is missed. Take your time and check things twice. A voice of experience because I did not and luckily did not have major problems.
Good luck and tow safe.

Welcome John,

We'll be hauling our Montana down to your fair state in six weeks (not that I'm counting) for our annual vacation in the Outer Banks.

You'll find a lot of answers, laughs and good people here.

Ask away!

Thanks,

The picture was taken at Camp Hatteras in Waves, NC in Sept. 2003. It was shortly after a hurricane came through so that may have caused some of the dramatic sky.

I live in Fayetteville and bought my Montana at Hawleys Camping Center. Just took our 5er on a short trip to Pedros (South of the Border) to check everything out. Stayed two days. No major problems at all. Great time. Can't wait for the next trip.
