Hydraulic slide hose replacement

Been a long while since I posted. I’ve been working to replace the hydraulic lines for my 3 slides (3750FL). I have to say that were it not for the massive amount of labor charges I would be happier paying the piper. This is a dirty, and terribly frustrating adventure. Replacing cables on the two electric slides is a walk in the park. Initially I ordered 2 wire 1/4 5k# psi hose based on the information provided by Keystone. They said 2 lines were about 30ft and 2 would be 20ft or less. Not the case. The line from the manifold to the closet slide is 37ft and the line from the bed slide to the manifold is 79ft 7 in. Still need to measure the dining room table. So, I had to increase my line order to include a 100ft roll to cover the bed slide. Still need to see if the reusable field line connectors will fit. If not the I’ll need to seek out a firm that will sell the crimp connectors and put them on my hydraulic hose.

Go to a place that makes hydraulic hoses. I just had 2 made for my John Deere farm tractor. There is nothing special about these hoses. They aren’t expensive. Take your old hose and have them duplicate it.

I had hydraulic hoses made for my tractor at O'Reilly auto parts store. Measure the length or take yours in. Since you are paying by the foot you don't want more than is actually needed.

If you buying hoses up to 70+ ft., be sure to negotiate on price because there is generally a huge mark up in the hose. I made hydraulic hoses at one time and would really smile when someone walked in my business needing a 20 to 30 ft hose made.
