Ozz update

Well, I have worked 7 days a week for 4 month's now, Sundays I only have 2 or 3 calls, but it still ruins a day. I have a customer that has 500 rentals, I started last late-Summer doing some work for them: HVAC and electrical, they had a mid-sized company doing their work. I have always been a worker-Bee, so I responded fast, did the job correctly the first time, no call-backs, and was nice to the customers, now I have 100% of the business. Poor Sue has to help me on some jobs, we occasionally install 3 central air units in one day, a fair day's work. She runs parts and dispatches me. Yesterday I was asked by another property management company to do all their work, they have 300 homes, I did 4 service calls for them yesterday.
(often a service call takes me 10 minutes, all customers are in a 5 mile square, 80% are a bad dual capacitor, or dirty condenser)
If it doesn't kill me, one more year, then Sue and I will be back on the road with the Montana.
It's been fun starting a great business from scratch, no thrill like it for me.
I am envious of all of you on the road, see you in the not too distant future.
Remember in your travels: Dirty side down!

Wow! No wonder we haven’t been hearing from you lately. Someone mentioned at the last rally I was at that you took a full time job.
You should take a break! “A Montana Break”

Sadly this happens much too often, the new account I picked up was exactly the same scenario, I repaired a unit that their last guy condemned, my fix was a cleaned condenser and a replacement of a fan motor that overheated after a few minutes of run time.
So many 'parts changers' out there now. Either untrained, or just plain dishonest.... or both.

I figured you were up to your belly button in alligators. Glad you have all the business you want to get you to the desired goal. Just remember, while you are working, try to keep the stressors down so you will be able to join us on the road and have the health to enjoy it. Good to hear from you.

Happy to hear your business is doing fantastic! Am sure the news media wouldn't print it though, they want doom & Gloom! Kick butt & make hay.

In this tough economy, it is good to hear of someone's business doing well, but you don't want to do so well that it puts you in the hospital. Have to remember to take care of yourself...

I'm tough as an old boot...and some have said I smell like an old boot....
I did 4 calls so far, about 10 minutes each, the rest of the morning riding around in my nice A/C cooled truck. I had a delivery company pick up 14 Jugs of R-22, a furnace and some refrigeration parts. Things that free me up.
You have A BEAUTIFUL RIG.

OZZ:
Glad you are doing great in your business that you couldn't give up on.
We missied you at the Central Plains Rally in Nebraska. Maybe you can break away for a couple of days next year in July. Rally will be about 5 hours from you. Ron,Mary and Paul,Jan out of Omaha done a wonderful job of organizing things. Maybe we will meet up with you someday as we visited Shawnee after the rally this year. We have to make another trip down there after going to Utah next month. Keep yourself in shape and take care of the DW. Whatever you two do, don't work so hard. Makes me sweat just thinking about you... JB in N.E. Iowa

Jim and Sue, I hope we can get together again when we're back in your area. We'll be on the other side of town this time, though, but still probably no farther from you. There's a Salty Iguana there, too, and it's also a good one (have tried it!).

Anytime you are in the area, give me a shout! We are really working hard now, but the Fall should bring some relief...I hope.

Still in Independence? We went to the Salty Iguana with you two on 40 Hwy.
Doesn't matter where you guys are, we will meet you here in the area.
Travel safe. When I am hitting it hard, I think of you two, gives me a reason to push on, goals and all...
