Finally ready to order new toliet

OK I know this is a crappy subject that has been discussed a hundred times but I couldn't easily find a thread for it so:

What brand and model is best replacement for OEM toilet?

If you have bought one, where did you get best pricing?

I am thinking a porcelain model would be better?

And I am 6'2" so a taller version would be better if they make one....

Our replacement is a Dometic 320 which has elongated bowl and we also got the sprayer. We are very happy with it and got it included in new Montana by dealer. We put same one in our 2012 Montana and got it from PPLMOTORHOMES.COM as they had best price at the time.

Well, after reading this I am convinced I want to switch to the 320 sooner than later. I take it a new seal on the floor is needed but how about the deck flange? Will the existing one work? Also, when it comes to the hand sprayer does it come with a holder to mount on the wall?

It comes with a new seal for the floor! You don't need to change the flange ether as far as the sprayer go We did not get it the shower is right there and works fine.

Ditto and the shower head doubles as a bidet.

The hand sprayer does come with a holder for the wall. Works great.

X2 on what WeBeFulltime said. That's exactly what we ordered and where we ordered it from. I swapped ours before we even used our 3121RL for the first time. It was a much more pleasant experience. I'm 6' 2" as well and let's just say it fits perfect.

I'll be ordering a 320 latter this spring. You just have to make sure you have enough room behind it. I'll check all the suppliers, but the last time the best price was on Amazon. At that time they showed only white, but when you clicked the picture you got a choice of colors before you ordered.

You can keep what you have, but when the pedal comes off and water starts flowing everywhere at 3:00 something in the middle of the night or when you aren't there during the day, you will think back on this conversation and wish you took all this experience to heart and just replaced the poorly designed Thetford toilet that Keystone installs in these rigs. Friends in a motorhome had the toilet fail, flooded the rig with black tank waste when the tank overflowed, and even though insurance covered the repair, it was still a bad experience because they were full time and were out of the rig for weeks. We replaced our failed Thetford well over four years ago and it has worked flawlessly since. The Thetford was a constant hassle, trying to keep water in the bowl, getting it to flush properly, and then when it fell apart, trying to get a new part and then being unable to get the new part to work. Good luck.

When you say the pedestal comes off, from breaking because it’s cheap plastic or just over time using it..? No I would rather not have crap floating around if it fails. Might be something to keep an eye on when they go on sale.

Not the 'pedestal' the pedal. The only thing keeping the pedal on is the return spring behind the pedal, and even if you can replace the pedal with a new one, it likely will not stay for very long.

I replaced my Thetford with a Dometic 320 mainly to get the oval even though I had never had problems with the original other than size. Did the replacement in May '18 and it worked well on our two month trip out west. Left home Tuesday for Texas and the bowl will not hold water. Leaks fast enough that you can see it receding. Anybody had this problem with a 320?
