I just couldn't stand to be without a dog buddy!
Today we got a cute little puppy. He does not have a name yet. Suggestions will be accepted. He is a mix between a doxie mother and a chihuahua father. Both are relatively small breeds and we expect he will be around 10 to 12 pounds.
I really don't know about this because it hurt so much losing our other Little furry guys but the loneliness is awful. So we will try and see how it works. We are looking forward to the challenge.

Mary Kay and Dennis
He is adorable. Hammer? Blackie? Coal? Little Bit? Dusty? Shadow? Did you have a name for a son that you didn't get to use? That's how we name our Danny.
Happy trails.........................

How cute, Dennis and Mary Kay. You definitely need a buddy to ride on that scooter, Dennis. We've found that the quickest way to mend a broken heart is to get a new buddy. Hope he comes along with you to Quartzite.

Dennis and Mary Kay, Congratulations on your new addition to your family. This little guy will keep you busy and also keep a smile on your face. Smiley is a cheerful name suggestion. We are looking forward to meeting this little guy in January.

Couldn't last long without a bud, could you? Vicki's description of you as Hot Rod Daddy brings the name Harley to mind. Usually I try for a name starting with a hard consonant so it makes it easier to get their attention.
Congratulations,
Bob

Since he is half chihuahua, I think Taco would be right up his ally.

I think he kind of looks like a "Buddy".
An adorable, cute, cuddly, sweet, precious,
darling, protect you if needed kind of Buddy.
You know that he's going to have to earn his name.
You & He will both know,
when you say the one that fits;
cause he'll perk up his ears,
cock his little head to one side,
give you a big smile,
and run jump into your arms!!

Congrats on the addition to your family. Can't imagine ourselves being without a companion dog or two for very long either. Certainly hurts when you loose one but the memories left behind are priceless!

Dennis & Mary Kay,
Congrats on the new addition! I kinda like Steve's suggestion of "Ham" or maybe if he is really outgoing "Hammy" would fit? We look forward to meeting him in January.

Thank you all for your wonderful suggestions. We haven't decided just yet but we are leaning toward "Boots". He has brown on the bottom of his legs that contrasts well with the deep black.
We do plan to bring him with us to Q.
Steve it is just too cold to even think about heading toward the KS City area! Wow! Can't believe how quickly it changed to really COLD. Even out this way it is relatively cold at night. L.A. is down into the 'teens' at night!
Again, thank you all.

Oh so precious. I'm glad you got him. I hope he doesn't get too big before we meet him. I like the name Boots but he sure looks like a Bandit to me

Mary Kay and I want to thank you all for your thoughts and suggestions regarding our latest addition.
We finally decided on the name that Helen suggested..... Bandit! First he looks like a little bandit with his little mask around his eyes but mostly because he'll steal your heart!
Thank you all for all your fine suggestions.
He is now up to about 5 and one half pounds. When we first got him he was about 4 pounds. So you can tell he is eating well! He is ALL puppy! He is into everything. Chews things constantly. And if I didn't know better I'd think he was a cat. He is so curious about everything.
Look out world here comes the Bandit!
