Shipshewana day trip on 10 sept

Hello All,
***PLEASE list your names when responding! I do not have access to your full names in the MOC.***

***UPDATE ON 6 AUGUST***I have reserved a dining room for lunch starting at 1300/1 pm at the Blue Gate Restaurant in Shipshewana for those going on the day trip on 10 September. I paid the $200 deposit and ordered the BUFFET meal per the majority of requests. I had to reserve it sooner than planned due to the restaurant being so popular with tourists. The price per individual will be $18.49 which includes tax, drinks and tip. PLEASE BRING CASH as I will need to pay the balance at one time for the 26 couples/52 individuals currently going, subject to any changes between now and the first week of September. If you do not want to join the group at lunch please let me know AHEAD OF TIME so that I can inform the restaurant accordingly as they need to plan the food too.

***UPDATE ON 9 July*** We will meet just outside the Fairground's main gate (across from the fair office) at 0900/9 am and pair up those needing rides to those driving. The Shipshewana Flea Market will also be open on 10 Sept. There's about 40 acres to explore at the market. The visitor guide is 82 pages long and if you want to look at things to see and do in Shipshewana ahead of time, go to this link:
www.visitshipshewana.org/request-or-download-destination-guide

I will try to have some of these visitor guides available on 10 Sept, depending on availability. I am still working on a lunch with the Blue Gate Restaurant at about 1300/1 pm and will keep you posted. If you want to do one of the buggy/wagon tours, then it is up to each to book those. There are several in the area besides the Blue Gate link I have posted.
One of the nicest communities near the Montana Rally is the town of Shipshewana. They have great shops, Amish crafts, food, and wagon tours of the community. If anyone will be at the fairgrounds on the 10th of Sept and would like to go, please give your name and if you can drive OR will need a ride to the town. I would be willing to try to make a reservation at an Amish restaurant if possible for lunch or dinner depending on the responses and how many. You can also check out this website for things to do: www.thebluegate.com It's the restaurant in Shipshewana and they also do a variety of carriage rides and tours. The tours might interest you and others.
