Coroplast underbelly replacement
Hi Everyone,
Has anyone replaced the coroplast underbelly with a better material? That stuff is cheap and won't last very long. I have to investigate a hydraulic line leak for a leveler that crosses the underbelly and since I'll have it down I wanted to replace underbelly with a durable material. Your suggestions are always appreciated.

That stuff is really pretty durable. Haven’t had a problem on our 2012. I did, when I had the front section down to repair a leaking grey tank, added some braces, more to support the tanks, but it also added support for the coroplast. I used 1 1/2” X 1 1/2” angle iron, and attached it with the same TEK screws that were used on the other braces.

The are a number of members here with early 2000 Montanas. They all have the original coroplast and it is still fine. I wouldn't worry too much about how long it will last.

70,000 miles on our 2010 when we traded it. Still had the original coroplast with no issues.

IF finances are no issue, install polished stainless steel panels, hinged every 4` for ease of access to the underside if needed. If thats not possible,I`d stick with the Coroplast Material.

If you are taking the coroplast down, may I suggest when putting it back up to put stainless steel fender washers between the coroplast and the head of the self-tapping bolt/screw that holds it to the frame. To make it easier in the future also replace the OEM self-tappers with stainless also.

Mine is a 2005 and have not had any problems with it. I had to take 2 panels down to fish some wires and just put it back up and no problems since reinstalling.
If you do go the polished aluminum route please post photos!

When they replaced my kitchen tank they tore the plastic in removing the tank. They replaced it with new plastic. That stuff will outlast your trailer life.

I second what everyone else is saying, I have had most of mine down ,now three times to replace the hydraulic lines. Pretty durable stuff ,mine is a 2008 3400 RL.
Chasing those hydraulic leaks is no fun, this last time I replace all of them with quality hose. Got a leak now in a fitting on the end where it attaches to the pump, have to drop the coroplast AGAIN to get the line off to have the fitting replaced. Can't win on those hoses, other then that no complaints.

agree with most posts here, this stuff lasts. Fun Fact: when my girls had guinea pigs (2) I lined their large (2 story) cage with the stuff, easy to wipe clean and believe me, if the guinea pigs can't chew through it, it is really tuff!

Our 2006 Montana coroplast is in great condition. Had three sheets of it out recently fixing a black tank leak.
