New Montana Model # 3791

Looks like there's a new model most people have never heard about coming. I hope the rally goers get a tour and give us their opinion. Here's my info source:

This may be the one with six slides I have been hearing about.

"A raised rear den with additional pass through storage in the rear — leave it to Montana to think of that first.” Great idea but my neighbor at my home base has some very nice passthrough storage in the rear. I think her SOB is 6 or 7 years old. One of the higher end builders that went under during the melt down. Either way it would be very nice to have.

Don't know who thought of it first, but saw an SOB raised rear living model at the Dallas RV show a couple weeks ago.
But first impression was no way would I want that. Steps to get to the front and steps to get to the rear just seemed too much stepping.

Yup, too few working parts to get excited about more steps.

This floor plan is definitely not for us!!!

If you want the kitchen to have a basement feel. Up....to the LR...down to go to bathroom ....or outside or eat. And then up again for the potty run.....then down to floor, then up....again...to "den", Man Cave... Whatever name you wish to call it. Must have working legs, hips, knees and feet to get around in this floor plan.

For a short person (as myself....) the cook cannot see the tv from the kitchen.

Finishes were nice. Floor plans left a lot of things to be desired. Definitely no functionality for this Montana owner.

We will keep ours and improve as we see fit. . Hopefully MCD shades will be the beginning. FYI ..... No SS dishwasher/refrigerator for us needed!!!

Wish I had better things to say. I apologize.

I wonder what demographic Keystone is pursuing with this model? It would be interesting to see how many Keystone sells by the end of the model year and if it's continued.

I think it's pretty nice. But then I'm a spry 60 with all parts operating as designed. With that said, I'm not in the market and won't be anytime soon.

We saw the six slide model yesterday - floor plan is nice, but it only has a 1/2 wide basement and it's not the same unit as in the article.

Saw it also. It seems cramped. It is not for us.

I like the uniqueness of it but I don't like all the interior stairs. A high percentage of people that buy 5th wheels are somewhat older and their knees just don't work the way they used to. Mine included.

Love the middle kitchen idea. I cook. A lot. I like that I can be separate in the kitchen and be cooking or having a conversation that isn't part of the living room should others be up there watching tv or having their own conversation. But I'm also right there at the living room and can have a conversation with someone up there.

I love an island in the kitchen without a sink or stove on it. I don't like a peninsula kitchen. The 3650 has a fabulous kitchen.

Love that the floor plan is not what I term a 'hallway' where the kitchen/diningroom/livingroom are all together.

I think Keystone is missing the mark that pretty much everyone needs a dedicated desk area now days. One that isn't next to a television and would give a quiet space to concentrate. The 3750 had a great desk that could be closed up to preserve privacy and the paper mess.

Keystone listened to us in the early years of the MOC when we pushed for some design changes including the all-in-one-bathroom design.

For us, the new floor plan is an 'almost, but not quite'. We'll hold onto our old 3295 (it's paid for) until they or another manufacturer gets it right. I'm not holding my breathe because I know that's a big order designing a floor plan that can meet the wants of a large group of people.

Room separation is a nice feature.

Nothing jumped out at us this year. There is usually a model that has a "wow" factor and did not see that this year. Keystone has done a great job in making the new Big Sky look like the Redwood body paint and all. The changes in the Montana lines were the big change this year.

Interesting plan. We don't have a problem with the steps to our Fl, so guess it would be ok with them to a rear den too, but it does add another chance to take a dive and trip to the ER if mis-stepping. We love the 3750FL for the 2 door access and the rear bed for safety.
I do like the plus the rear raise gives in added storage, but if you give me more outside storage, I'd just find more junk to have to put in it and haul it around. The DW already gives me static on that.
