Taking the 3610 in for repairs

Well, on our last trip I pulled into a Koa. While looking left at the spot we were going to be in I pulled to the right not realizing that a huge chunk of a tree was on my right. CRUNCH,. The right side of the trailer skin was damaged. Big time. Well ,the new skin is only 150.00. However, shipping is 350! So 500 for the part and another 500 to install it..Been at this since 1992... what a rookie move.

Ouch! Thanks for the good reminder. We are never to old to learn or re-learn.

That's really a rip off on the shipping. It's likely the dealer will just have it delivered inside a new Montana they have coming in. Our second Montana (2012) had one of those panels in it when it arrived. I was there when the unit was pulled onto the lot and saw them remove it.

OUCH! Sorry that happened.. Did they order the decal too? 150 is pretty reasonable for the parts cost. Oversized shipping is terrible expensive. Good luck on the repair.

Speaking of oversized shipping. If you need to ship large or weird sized parts you can use the shipping system through Fastenal ( the hardware supply chain). Its not very well known but if you are shipping a part you can take it to any fastenal store and ship to any other Fastenal store for much less than some other Freight carriers. You can check it out on line at their site. Go to services/Resources and then 3Pl ( third party logistics). This wont work if you are buying from a vendor but from point to point it does work and may save a few dollars along the way.

I have been at my local store and seen Engines , Bumpers, All kinds of stuff.

Don't feel too bad. I think most of us can attest to a "moment."

Just this week had to pay for a new juction box and 7 pin plug after I had a bad night sleep and got in a hurry and dropped the trailer and drove off without unhooking. Dumb move, but we all do something we knew better than to do from time to time. The trick is in keeping the times to a minimum
