extra heat if not full-timers
we are just weekend campers, full-time workers still. i have found a way to get more heat in your monty if you only use till about the end of nov. and then winterize.keystone uses an enclosed underbelly that has a two inch duct running into it to heat the entire underbelly thus heating your tanks. if you camp only in moderate cold, you can block this vent and it will provide more air to the uppper part of the camper. just pull the return cover and you will see the plenum, on some models there is a box under the stairs.i just used foil duct tape to blank off the two inch line, there for more cfm's of airflow to the living area of the fiver. if you need the heat in the underbelly, just pull the blank-off off. works great but only do this if you do not use the rv for full-time use.also i recommend putting a cheap 12x12 filter in the return grille to filter the air, can either be taped on or have a small frame pop-riveted for the filter. you will have to remove the return air grille to do this.
