King Pin Cover/Forehead Saver
There was thread speaking to rapping your head on the king pin when wandering around the rigs. I mentioned my parents had something to help prevent that from happening, but I couldn't recall the particulars.
When we brought Bella home this weekend I FINALLY remembered to ask Mom and Dad about it as I was too lazy to walk down to their RV and look at it myself.
They took an empty plastic cat litter bucket (theirs happens to be square) and Dad bent the bale style handle to hang over the front "lip" of the king ping (adjustments for individual pin styles would have to be made). The bucket fits over the king pin itself so you can't hit. Mom purchased four mini American flags (she got them a the Dollar Store around the 4th of July) and stiched them together to make a "skirt" for the bucket. She stitched elastic to the top edge (stretching the elastic while she stiched it) so it would "snug" to the top of the bucket. Patriotic, charming, and obvious enough to keep your head away from that king pin!
You can likely purchase an inexpensive bucket and achieve the same results. Dad uses the bucket as his outside wash bucket if needed. He just removes the American flag "skirt." (If water accumulation is a concern, then just drill a few holes in the bottom of the bucket.)
