tv lift

For those that have the tv contained within the entertainment center, have any of you had it stick in the closed position? I held the down button too long and when I tried to raise it...click was all I got. This morning same thing, then all of a sudden it worked. I noticed a bolt in the top of the jack screw assembly and mine is quite loose. Doesn't control raise height of tv...so does it "set" the closed depth? Also noticed a big rocking to tv when I first hit down, then it smoothes out. Looking at the tube within a tube lift assembly, I see that they didn't put nylon strips down each side of each tube...so the design is responsible for this initial rock. Thanks, john

When we stay in one place for a while I move the TV up or down a little every time I dump. Had it stick in the up position once when I left it up for a couple of months. Whatever they lubed mine with hardens up or just collects dirt over time and has to be exercised before that happens.
