Pot Luck Dinners / events
Jen has been emailing ideas to me (she's just about to go through the Panama Canal so has no phone or internet access, just ship's email).
How does this sound for everybody:
Friday evening - Either a pot-luck dinner or a get together at a local restaurant (depending on the number of attendees - if we get over 8 or 9 rigs, the pot-luck dinner will probably be easier to organize).
Saturday evening - Spaghetti Dinner - We'll make the spaghetti and sauce, who would be interested in taking care of the bread, desserts, or salad?
Sunday Brunch - Pot Luck
Nightly - campfire and/or games
Tours of the area - This would be up to everybody attending, do you prefer organized group tours or just striking out on your own?
Also, if anybody plays an instrument and will be taking it along, let us know. Jen plays Sax and keyboard as a hobby and we will probably bring both the keyboard and the midi wind instrument (plays like a sax, but can be sound like any wind instrument). At the national rally, there were a couple of improv sessions with Jen, rames14, and CountryFolk.
Any other ideas?
Fred

Fred,
We were at Salisbury Beach State Reservation in MA for the weekend.
We ran into another couple Nita and Al that have a Montana and live in the Albany NY area.
They are planning on coming up to the rally.
They will make reservations when they get home.
On the main reason for this reply.
For Sunday's brunch, I would like to do individual "Omlet in a Bag", I will provide all of the stuff for it.
It is great breakfast for a group.

Sounds good! When it gets closer and we have a few more Pot Luck signups, I'll post a list of who's bringing what to the meals.
I'm glad to see more people signing up. That will bring us to 7 rigs with 1 couple camping nearby that may stop in to visit.

We'ed be glad to take care of the bread, garlic and otherwise. We could also add a dessert to the mix. It also looks like I can take Friday off so we should get there early in the day. Anyone interested in a short round of golf with two lousy players?

We are up to 11 rigs so I think the restaurant idea is out. Would people like a full potluck dinner on friday or just a welcome hour and snacks?
Sat. is the spagetti dinner. I'm making the spagetti. Snowbunny is bringing the bread. would anyone like to bring salad or desert?
Sun. is the brunch. I'm bringing muffins. Carlson is bringing "omlettes in a bag". What would you like to bring?
As I get posts I'll consolidate them to a list so we don't get alot of the same foods.
All meals are going to be bring your own beverage, table setting.

Fred,
I will have my big cooker and pots with me for the Sunday Brunch, so you can use it to cook your spaghetti for Saturday night.
The snack, social hour sounds good to me for Friday night as people will be getting in at different times.

I've voluntered to make the salad for Saturday night. And I will do some bagles or bacon for Sunday brunch. I'm also going to bring a foldup aluminum table incase its needed.
Can anyone else think of things that may be needed, which haven't been discussed?

We are planning to bring a dessert to the Saturday evening dinner.
We will also think of something to bring for the Friday evening get-together. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Thanks everybody for bringing items for dinner and brunch. It sounds like we'll be able to feed an army. See you all on Friday.

Glad to hear that Donna is feeling better and that you will still be able to come. Just make sure she doesn't over do! Safe travels.
