Montana hitch new and improved...

I have about completed the hitch for the Monte
The old one was probably OK, but I wanted a different set-up, so I pulled the old rusted hitch, bought new parts and took it to my very good hitch company, Croft Trailer and hitch here in Kansas City.
I bought some square stock at a metal company for the 'Outriggers'
The hitch is probably stronger than any I have seen, according to the welder at Croft, stronger than any he has seen.
Here are the pictures, I just burned holes in all receivers and welded nuts on for the stabilizer bolts. Nothing will move when I hit a bump. I'm painting it now. I will post pictures of it mounted with the carrier later.
Oh, Sweet Sue is sewing covers with lots of trap doors and velcro strips for the Honda's.

Will you just use the two outer receivers for the carrier for the generators? BTW, that's pretty slick looking fab work.

Gee whiz, Ozz. You're one of the busiest people I know of when you are not working. But your projects are sure fun to see and read about!

Wish I could take credit for the welding, beautiful job.
I designed it, bought all the metal and receivers and told the welder what I wanted. The outer receivers are to bolster and steady the carrier. I wanted it to be as stout as I could make it to divide the stress fairly evenly.
Art, I am committed to getting everything ready, it is slow work-wise, so I am working every day I can on the old gal...ahh the Montana. :O

Paul, I was just thinking of that, I need to go out and get my scales ticket and see what it was last time out. I think the only thing added weight-wise, will be the carrier on the back and the 2 Honda's. I was already carrying the case of Corona...
Oh, the 2 receivers and welds will be about 40# more.
I'm pulling the 3,000 Watt Inverter and replacing it with a 2,500 Watt, a little lighter. I'm replacing the 2 Golf cart batteries with either 3 or 4 12 volt AGM's.
