Dometic RV Fridge Lock

OK - peek-a-boo - freezer opened on last trip - shucked 5 water bottles in different places and then closed to hide the trick.

Has anyone come up with the 4 door RV Fridge to keep it shut in transit?

This time of year, have to ask. Maybe you are haunted?

This happened to us once. I noticed some water on the floor after transit, but I did not know where it came from. Then later I saw the little plastic container where I keep ice cubes in the freezer, and it was not in the freezer. I knew I had left it in there with ice cubes in it.

I then realized that the freezer door had opened in transit and the ice cubes had escaped. The freezer door closed itself.

To keep this from happening again, I now put a C-clamp on the freezer doors to keep them shut. It is on my list of things to do before we head out each time.

We got several magnetic sheets we put across the door openings and then hold them in place with rare earth magnets. Works great and didn't cost much.

I had my fridge door open on my last trip once. When i shut the fridge i now make sure to always close the left side first and then shut the right side by pushing the door hard enough to hear it latch. Just slamming the door sometimes it doesn't always latch completely so as why i now push the door after shutting to be sure it closes. This seems to have corrected the problem.
