New 3400 owner

We just purchased an 05 3400 RL and will take delivery next Saturday. We have owned a Montana 3280 before and traded it in on an Alfa Ideal. We are so excited to be back in a Montana again. Love the floorplan and all the extras that came with the unit. The unit has dual pane windows, gelcoat, slide toppers, fireplace and a convection oven, etc. Looking forward to hearing from all of you about your experiences with your Montana. We would particularly be interested in hearing right now about your experiences with the dual pane windows, fireplace and convection oven.

Welcome aboard Teresa and Harold! And welcome back to Montana! Know you will enjoy your new 3400 - that's a really nice unit - just love the kitchen. When we took delivery of our Monty a few months ago it came with the convection oven in place of the microwave and regular gas oven. Like the extra space under the stove top for storage and having fun learning the ins and outs of convection cooking. Many happy trails to you ....

Hello....and WELCOME~~

We've been in our 3400 since January 2nd. We're very pleased with it. I can't comment on the dual panes or the convection oven, but we do have the fireplace. It was a must for Larry -- and I'm so glad we have it. Not only is it beautiful, but we use it in place of the normal heater -- and it does a great job.

PS: We would have the other features also, had we known about them. Let us know how you like the oven and the dual-panes. We'll just lust for awhile.

Congratulations on the new Montana! We don't have any of the three things you listed but I sure do wish we had the fireplace and the dual-paned windows. That fireplace is beautiful. So real looking. Hope you have many years of enjoyment from the new rig. Check out the rally planned for September in Indiana. Looks to be a lot of members there.

Planning on purchasing this model. Wondering what color schemes are available? What are the pros and cons of having or not having the dinette vs the table and chairs. Hopefully will take ownereship soon.

I believe desert sunset and merlot are the same but they have added spruce. You can see pictures by going to the website in my signature.

Welcome aboard. We have a 3400 also and have the fireplace and dual windows. We love the fireplace, very soothing. We also don't trip over the heater as it is included in the fireplace. No problems with the windows and haven't experienced extreme temperatures yet to really put it to the test. We also got the convection oven in place of the gas...not too thrilled with it. It is a whole new learning curve and you are more resticted to the size of pan you put in it. We have a gas oven on order, as it was supposed to come with one there should be no charge. We have the table and chairs. The seats on the chairs lift up to reveal more storage. We keep the binoculars, cards etc in there. You can also move them into the living room area for seating for company. Many Happy Trails to you.

Welcome to MOC and 3400 owners. We just got ours Sept 4. We love it. Especially like the rear living room and the size of it. We have the fireplace and use it in the mornings to take off the chill. We also have the convection oven combined with the microwave so we still have the gas oven also. Haven't had a chance to use it much yet but love it so far. We also are making good use of the storage in the chairs. One has our model railroad engines and car, one has playing cards and dominos (Mexican train), one has office supplies, one has batteries, etc., and the last has my jewelry making supplies. We installed a keyboard drawer under the desk last weekend and it works great. We have the merlot and really love the color. We had coveted the 3295 for years but really fell in love with the 3400 because of the rear living room.

Congrats on your 3400RL. We picked ours up in August and went on our first trip to Pahrump, Nev. over Labor Day weekend. It's a wonderful RV and so far only a few very minor problems that should be easily corrected. Just remember not to open the bedroom slide while the cargo door is up.... ask us how we know!!

I'm not sure if we have dual pane windows but it does have the Arctic package. Also have the fireplace, central vac. and the convection microwave and gas oven. The central vac. works great and even reached into the bedroom! We didn't have a chance to try the convection oven because we ate out at the casinos for most meals.

We met several very nice Montana owners who had never hear of MOC so I gave out the website and we may have some new members soon.

It's great to belong to such a great group of folks!

Happy RVing
