2nd AC - Where is the duct?

While we were on a trip this weekend we opened up the shroud over the bed to see exactly what they meant my prepped for 2nd AC. According to the brochure it is wired, framed, and ducted for a 2nd AC. We found the wiring, we found the frame, we can NOT find the duct! So today I called Keystone and they said that it is ducted but the gal refered me to the dealer to locate where the ducting would be. I explained that I didn't want to drive my rig all the way down there just so they could see which one I needed, then order it, drive all the way home, and then go back to install it. I would rather her be able to tell me where I would find the ducting.

Any ideas on where I might find the duct work? It is unfortunate when I have to contact friends to answer questions about my rig that the manufacturer cannot answer.

The duct if I recall, comes in from the head of the bed side and is just a square hole. To verify yours is ducted, turn on the living room A/C and with the shroud off, you should feel cool air coming from the 14" square hole in the ceiling.

That is a GREAT idea Michael! My husband peeked in most of the sections but I don't know what they mean by 'ducted'. They could mean they just left a hole for you to put the ducting in. So we will check! Thanks for the tip!

The vent for cool air to blow into the bedroom is in the duct. Also the vent for cool air in the bathroom is in the duct. Depending on your floorplan, one or both of these connectes to your bedroom 14x14 opening. Both ACs force air into same duct, just increasing volume air flow.

Ohhhh...I think I understand Larry. So if we take the shroud off and we only see insulation do we move the insulation out of the way to see whether or not a duct is behind the insulation???? So we shouldn't see a silver tube or anything...just some sort of box that it forces the air into (like the furnace plennum?). Am I even making sense with my questions? You guys are probably laughing trying to figure out how to explain it to me.

I do appreciate the help!

Just installed my 2nd AC, duct is abut 4 inches from the vent opening. New A/C is designed to be dumped straight down. or tied in to existing duct. Either/or or both.
