Another case for LEDs

Our electricity was out for 7 hours because of repairs necessitated by the wildfires nearby. Our LEDs burned brightly as needed. If we had had the incandescent lamps in, after a some time, they would have dimmed and we would have needed to use just minimal necessary lighting. BIG difference in current draw.

Another reason to go with LEDs. Thanks Stiles!

I think the major factor that is steering me towards the future purchase of some LED replacements deals with the heat aspect that the originally supplied 12V bulbs in the rig put off. On our rig there are the standard light fixtures that are mounted above the countertop on the bottom side of the overhead cabinets. This is far from an ideal situation since these types of lights put out quite excessive amounts of heat. Enough heat that we learned the hard way not to put anything perishable or melt-able on the bottom shelf of the cabinets. I would venture further to say that if the lights were left on and canned goods were stored on the bottom shelf, you could eliminate the preparatory step of having to put the canned goods on the stove?? Of course, I suppose if you like warm bread, that would mean that we could use the bottom shelf for a bun warmer?? The LED's are on the list for next year's camping season for sure.
