5th Airborne or MorRyde pin box?

I suppose this has been hashed out pretty well and everyone has an opinion but I'm getting ready to order a replacement pin box for my '02 3655FL Monty and can't decide which one to buy. The factory pin box is a medium (not extended or a shorty) and I'll stick with that length. I have a 16K Reese Pro hitch (no air) in my Dodge 3500 DRW long box and I suppose I should add air bags along with a new "cushioned" pin box. So far my reading suggests that folks like the MorRyde and TV air bags combo so I'm leaning that way. Is there a consensus among those who have gone in similar ways?

We have the 5th AirBorne and love it. We first had it on our '02 2880 and now on our '06 2980. We do not have airbags on our hitch or TV and don't need them. We noticed the difference right away when we pulled out after having it installed. Carol had had surgery on her spine near the neck and the beating she was taking was brutal. That went away with our 5th AirBorne. I can't compare it with any other but highly recommend this for you.

If I were choosing, I would choose 5th Airborne because I owned one and it is better than my current box.

They both do exactly what they were designed to do. Read up on both products and determine which is best for you... Chucking, that back and forth motion what we needed to reduce or eliminate.

5th Airborne here also and love it. Did not have much chucking to begin with and now virtually none.
Also I can see in my rear view mirror the 5er moving up and down independently of the truck, taking out some of the vertical shock from the truck to the Monty.

Thanks, guys. You don't know how much I appreciate hearing your satisfaction with 5th Airborne. I've read so much manufacturers information. I can never tell whether their products sell on hype alone or what. I really like hearing that you can see the fiver move independent from the truck. That speaks for a lot about it's effectiveness. I'll sleep on it one more night and then order one.

This has to be the best forum on the WWW. Thanks again...dan

It maybe hard to find someone with direct experience with both products. I have the Mor Ryde and like it alot. I do not have any experience with the 5th Airborne--just an opinion.

We do have the Mor Ryde and we can also see the 3400 moving independently of the truck in both directions.. From descriptions it seems they both do pretty much the same thing.

So many decisions to make - Oh, what to do... I'm really fortunate to be in a position in life to spend so much time contemplating this kind of decision compared to worrying about where my next meal will come from or where I'll sleep tonight. We ARE fortunate aren't we? Thanks all...
