It's done

After a week of cooling my heels in Houston, I finally testified in the trial and drove straight to the airport for our return flight. The time wasn't wasted though. Both Dianna and I got eye exams and new glasses from our long time and trusted optometrist. We took a trip to central Texas and picked up winter clothes and left some summer duds behind. We visited with two of our three children and five of the twelve grandchildren.

My rent car was a four door 2010 Kia which turned out to be much better than expected, both in design and in function. We enjoyed some Mexican food at Little Gringo's in Houston. In our opinion, you have a very difficult time finding Mexican food to suit our taste outside of Texas. The best Washington has to offer just stirs our distant memory of the real stuff.

We are back in Port Hadlock, WA and ready to plunge into the work of pastor. I am glad the murder trial ordeal is over.

Were you testifying as an expert witness? And, if so, on whose behalf? And if you mentioned that in a previous post, I apologize for the repetition.

Stiles, If you travel through Chehalis, WA we recommend the Plaza Jalesko (spelling). It is on the other side of I-5 from Wal Mart. It has the best Mexican food we have ever eaten.
Glad to hear you are safely "home."

Vicki, if I recall, I think he said that both the defendant and the murder victim were clients of his at one time. Thus, he was called as a witness... I believed that's how it worked.

Yes, I was called as an expert witness by the defense. Yes, they were both my clients several years ago. It is very sad how the situation escalated to cause one of them to die. When I left for Hong Kong in 2005, I thought they had the relationship manageable, but alas.
