Dustytuu, They offer many different ones, which one did you use and do you have any pictures of your door. I would like to do this to my door but wasn't wanting to drill holes. I would be grateful for more information.

I got mine at an Ace Hardware. They are nylon with nylon screws, non scratching. I have also seen them in aluminum, with and without aluminum screws.

This is a great tip thanks! This is something I would want to do with our Montana when we get one so we can leave the door open longer, particularly during the cool season, so our furkidz can look out the door (their most favorite past time - people watching).

You are very welcome!
Our dogs like to look out too. Especially the cat loves to look out!
We like our storm door in the summer too! Can keep the door open with AC going. I will try to take some pictures this week of our door. We put the plexiglas on the inside of screen. We have a screen guard on bottom of the screen (because of the dogs) and that also helps to hold our plexiglas onto the door.
Those clips are very inexpensive. I think we got 3 boxes so would have few extra. The web site explains how many you get in a box.

If you are still having trouble getting the site your browser should redirect you. Just try DoItYourself.com and if you get an error should be a link on that page to redirect to the site. Let me know if you are still having trouble.

Thanks, that is exactly what I am looking for and hope it works well. I didn't like the thought of drilling into the metal.

Do you think 3 packs (of 4 each) would be enough? Marilyn

That looks like a good price Dusty, we paid a bit more than that at a local hardware store when we were in Mission.
Al used 10 clips on ours, 5 on the top, 1 in the middle and 4 on the bottom.

We ordered 3 packs but I wish I had ordered more. Sometimes if the wind is blowing like it does in Colorado some may come loose.
So Everyone be sure and order enough.
Carol you were smart to put that many on your screen door. Wish I had been that smart.
Here is that website again

Carol, Going to talk Don into putting that door opener on our screen door this weekend. Suppose to be nice weather. That is sooooooooo handy expecially with our animals. If Don or me leave the slider open our dogs and cat can open the door. Cat just reaches up and swings out the door! Hanging on the door!

Dusty,
That is one special and talented cat!
Would also suggest that a few extra of those clips be purchased and stored in the ole junk drawer. We have had them pop off the door, so far, we have found them all, one was laying outside on the door mat.
We love the Kwist door opener! Such a simplistic solution and such a GREAT ONE!!

Carol,
son is bringing his two cats here in a week. I am so afraid they will get out. We have coyotes here! The male is very smart. He will attack on command and go punish himself when told(into the office to time out) Very spoiled. Don't know how this is going to work. His two cats are 11 and 12 years old. So don't know how everyone is going to get along. Our cat is twice as big as him. So maybe that is a good thing,

I just received the clips.I might be having a brain freeze but I don`t see how they clip on the screen door??They will go on the inside of the screen door-I see that. But I wanted to put the plexiglas on the outside of the door.I can`t figure out where they clip to.I was up at my storage place to turn on the fridge for a up coming camping trip this weekend.Since my Montana is a 2001 model I`am wondering if keystone changed the design of the screen door.I sure hope not.

Harleyrider.
As far as I know, those of us using those clips did so on an inside install.
Al cut the plexi so that it rests on the inside of the screen door, there is a little lip there on all three parts of the door. Cut 3 pieces, one for top (has a curve, that is tricky!), one small one for beside the slider and one for the bottom.
Put the plexi in, then snuggle the clips down so that they catch the storm door and hold the plexi in. (Terrible thing to describe)
Not sure if the clips that we use would work on the outside.
Good luck on your install.
