SHE'S HERE!!!

Grandgirl #5, Margaret Allison, arrived this morning at 4:04 am (CDT) ... two-and-a-half weeks early. She's very, very tiny ... 18 in long and 5lbs 6.6 oz... and is having a little trouble keep her body temp up, so she's spending a little time in Neonatal. Mommy is fine, but exhausted ... and she reassured me several times that Miss Maggie is fine. The bad news ... Daddy (our son, David) was in New Jersey on business and missed the birth of his second daughter, but he's on his way home now.

We're so tickled! We picked up grandgirls #1 and #2 yesterday, so as soon as we take them home next week, we'll be hot-footing it back to Indepence to see our newest little darling!

Congratulations! We know how excited you must be. There's nothing quite like the feeling you get when a new grandchild arrives. So sorry her daddy (and ya'll) weren't able to be there. We will say a prayer that she will stay warm and healthy.

Thank you so much. She was due August 7th, so our plan was to get back to KC by the 1st to (hopefully) be there for her arrival. So much for plans! Her mommy is already anticipating that she's going to be a real pistol and do things whenever she wants!

Congratulations to Mom & Dad and Grandparents! Nothing like a new grandchild and now you have FIVE granddaughters. Don't spoil her remember when you folks leave Mom & Dad have to take over. And if I remember very little sleep the first few weeks.

Hey, how about that! Congratulations you two. Talk about "the best laid plans or men and mice..." I guess some things just happen on their own schedule.

Be careful rushing around the country, and take care with #1 & #2!

Congratulations to all of you. Glad to hear that everyone is well. I bet Grandma and Grandpa will be happy to help spoil this one as soon as they can.

Congratulations on the 5th grandchild. I'll bet you can't wait to see her. Hope she and mom are home and doing fine. Have fun with the other two grandkids for a short time also.
