Inside White Trim on Shower Skylight

Getting ready to do some minor repairs on the Monty and I noticed that I have some cracks along the edge of the white inside trim for the shower skylight. Just wanted to replace it if possible, has anyone ever removed this, is that inside clear plastic bubble part of the white frame?

Any idea what this would be called and where to begin to look for it?

Thanks!

Find the brand name on the skylight, measure it, and got to your nearest dealer. They should be able to help.

The inside frame and "bubble" are the same piece ... however the "bubble is not what you see from standing on the roof ... that is the exterior sky light "bubble". There is an air gap between the two. Remove the screws and pull downward ... easy removal.

As dieselguy has said the inside bubble and the frame are all one piece. I took ours down and spray painted the inside bubble to cut down on the heat and light coming into the shower area. It's an easy job but be sure you put something over the shower drain so none of the screws go down into it, just incase you should drop one or more! I did check to see if I could buy a darker inside bubble but that is not possible but you can purchase it from a dealer if you have the brand name of the skylight as Hook has stated!

If you just want to cut down on the heat radiated from the skylight ... put a couple of layers of 1" bubble wrap in between the inner and outer bubble as there is room. I know it sounds crazy, but it works great. Cuts way down on the heat issue.

The DW made a curtain for ours. On either end she made a loop and inserted a spring loaded rod that compresses and goes up into opening. Works great. Easily removed if more light is needed.
