Closet to Pantry Transformation
The closet near the entry door is a waste of space. So, I transformed it into a pantry. Just cut to size the sides and anchor them using L brackets. The walls, except for the outside load bearing wall are thin, so don't expect the L bracket to be tight. It will be tight enough once the shelves are in place. I routed a groove in the sides so the adjustable shelf bracket would fit flush. It doesn't have to be this way, but it makes the shelves fit tighter against the sides.
Then, cut to size each shelf. The closet is not square, so measure each shelf individually and cut as needed. Stain them and add some molding to the front to keep items from sliding off.

Very nice job! Looks like OEM but better. I better hide this from DW lest I get another mod placed on my list.

My husband did the same with ours a few years ago, love it. He also added shelves to our bathroom one that is behind the toilet. It had shelves but they were to far apart.
