Slide leak maybe not???

While back I listed several of the deficiencies of our 3295.....
Well, last night (here in northern Ohio, it has been raining for days, and my floor along the back of the LR slide is SOAKED!) I made the discovery that there is water on the desk top right along that wall.
I think there may be water coming in through or around that phone jack????!!!!! any ideas...
I wonder if finding water on the desk after power washing it is why Naylor caulked all around my window on the back so that it will not operate now......

We are not to far from you here in North Ridgeville and can vouch for the days of rain (still is)We have been checking our new 3400 set up in the driveway every day for leaks and thus far not a single drop anywhere. This AM raised all the window shades to check for damp sills...none..Tell you what ..we got a good one..Sounds like you need to do your own caulking job..Look at the bright side..with all this rain you will be able to find evey leak. If it ever stops raining and it warms up a bit we will pull down and visit..

If we can stand to stay here Rich... But that is a whole nother topic!!!!!
I may have figured it out though... there appears to be no caulking at ALL around the circular port for the phone jack on the outside...
I hope that is all it is... only other thing I can think of would be a hole in the roof.

I too had leaks around my bedroom slide. Floor was wet.
I recaulked all areas along the entire length of my bedroom slide. I also noticed that the rubber seals along the top and sides were not "flipping" back into a sealing location with movement of the slide.

I try to make sure the seals have folded into the proper position after moving the slides in our out.

All is dry so far.

What G Mc Call says above in regard to checking the rubber seals on all the slides that they are in the proper position is a real good idea and was stressed by our dealer PDI guy.It is on our setup and tear down check list.

I would get a ladder and inspect all seams on the Slides that could get wet.
I noticed numerous areas on my trailer that looked like there were "breaks" in the seams, so I got a canister of the better quality outdoor window/etc clear seal, placed it in my gun and resealed all seams that I could find, even behind the big rubber seals.
I think water can blow or seep past those big rubber seals so look to see where the water might go. Seal and seal some more is all I did. I could not tell you specifically where the leak was but all that sealing ( or just making sure the big rubber seal is turned right) stoped my leaks so far.

I second that !
Unfortunately I have found more problems with my Mountaineer than I care to write about for fear of depressing other owners.
My previous 2001 model Mobile Scout TT was nearly flawless.
You best be handy with tools to own my 2005 Mountaineer, and have a little patience.

But hey, look on the bright side.......I like the floor plan
