Lubing bedroom slide and front jacks?

I'm getting some pretty serious "groaning" noises when extending the bedroom slide. I've lubed the others and they are fine. How do I get to the bedroom slides? Do I have to remove the plywood under the mattress and get to them that way?

Also groaning noises when extending and retracting the jacks. Any way to lube them?

Yep, you have to remove the plywood to get tot he hydraulics and the track runs. I used a white lube on those under the bedand while in there putting in the air pump for the sleep comfort I wiped down the hydraulic ram with tranny fluid, (same as what the pump uses). I don't know about the front jacks,Maybe hooking it up to the truck andthen extenging them and putting gear lube on the gears inside might help. I'm sure someone else on the forum will have the real skinny on the legs.

The landing gear legs themselves should not be lubed. If you lube them (like I did), they will collect dirt and grime and then will not slide freely. People at Keystone Customer Service had me use spray on Brake Cleaner and clean the legs and wipe them down with a cloth. They have worked great now for over 2 years. Some of the "groaning" noise you are hearing may be in the gearing for the legs. Mine groan every now and then and have done so for almost 6 years from the time the rig was new. I never worried about it.

Have not greased the gears on mine yet (to new). But I have read to put trailer now truck remove to pad off the legs then place a piece of clear hose on grease gun run it up the legs to grease the gears. You might try that? See-Ya
