Hit DollyWood's Splash Country. It is one of the nicest waterparks we've ever visited. That is if you like waterparks.

We also went to the Aquarium in Pigeon Forge, that was great. Take a trip up to the TN/SC boarder great ride and come home in evening you may see some bears. Sevierville, Tn. has a great Pork chop Restaurant. Down town each night there is someone in the square area Picking and Grinning. This is close to the Mill restaurant.

No question ... you'll never regret a minute of any time spent in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park!

Try Cades Cove towards the evening, you'll see lots of animals! There are lots of good resturants, the tower in Gattenlinburg and Ober Gattenlinburg, and plenty of little shops to the discount shops. Enjoy your stay!

Being Vicki's other half, I agree completely! If any interest in what's in that park to see, please click the "Our RV Travels" link in my signature, select "2005 Postcards," then peruse the postcards dated April 28 through June 24. We spent 7 weeks in the area and would like to go back again someday.

IMHO, do your selves a favor and get out of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Way too "touristy". Great Smokey Mountain NP, yes. Cade's Cove, double yes. Blue Ridge Parkway, triple yes. You are going to be in some of the most beautiful areas of the eastern US, why waste time in tourist traps? I know everyone has a different idea of what is fun, but with all the natural beauty in that part of the world for us it's a no brainer.

I’ve heard there is a museum in the form of the Titanic only on a smaller scale and when you go in you are given the name of someone that was on the ship. Whenever you leave after going through it you find out if you were a survivor or not. You may want to check this out ahead of time where I also heard you have to get tickets ahead. Sorry but I don’t know the name of the business.

Take it all in, tourists stuff, mountains, and even go to Cherokee, NC from Pigeon Forge area. You can get to Cherokee by going over the mountain, a beautiful ride, for about 30 miles into Cherokee. Take in the Casino if you like as well. Go to Nanatahalla Falls in NC also about 30-40 miles from Pigeon Forge. Enjoy!

There was a touring Titanic exhibit here in Tampa about 3 or 4 years ago, and they did the thing with the passengers. It was very cool. (My passenger didn't make it!!)

We were there a couple of weeks ago and there is a Titanic Museum. It is about the front half of the ship. It is very large, but not actual size of the real ship. It's right as you exit Apple Valley heading into Pigeon Forge from Sevierville. We did not go in though.

We went to Dollywood (the theme park) last year...ok, but I would not make the trip just to go there. There are A LOT of attractions (shows, etc) outside of the Dollywood park...almost something for everyone. If you are looking for a campground in the area, we stayed at the KOA in Newport, a short drive from Pigeon Forge. Not much at the campground, but it does have full hookups and the price is pretty good: $36.00. Have fun!

While in Pigeon Forge tske one night and go to the Dixie Stampede for dinner and show. GOOOOD FOOOOd and great entertainment, get there early for the pre show. Also about 1 1/2 hour west to sweetwater the the lost Lake. Its underground in a cave and is a nice break from the heat and humidity.
