NEW 3455SA

Well the big day finally came on Monday. We took delivery of our new 3455SA from Walnut Ridge RV in Indiana. From the owner right down to the service techs, the staff there were outstanding and very customer oriented. We did our PDI and found a couple of minor issues which were corrected right on the spot. We took advantage of their offer to stay 2 nights free at their campground to work out any immediate issues that there may be with the rig. We found five problems with the rig the first night and called the service department first thing the next morning. They sent a service tech to our campsite but because the work included removing the TV antenna and it was raining, we towed the rig back to the service department (about 500' from our campsite). 3.5 hours later they had all of the work completed and explained the repairs and what was done in detail. We were very satisfied with the entire experience.

We left Indiana this morning on our way back to Oak Harbor, WA on Whidbey Island. The only downside to the trip so far is that today somewhere in the last 50 miles of our trip the skirting on the driver's side just in front of the trailer tires was hit by what appeared to be a piece of tire carcass and caused a dent and some black marks. Once we get back to home base I am pretty certain I can fix it. The first one always hurts the most...I just wish it hadn't happened so soon

We are staying at Rolling Acres RV park in Newton, IA tonight and will be staying at Al's Oasis in Oacoma, SD tomorrow night. Should be back home on 27 April. We are planning to attend the Spring Rally at 7-Feathers in June. Keystone is listening to their customers and getting it right. We are loving the new rig!!!

Congratulations on the new rig. Ours came off of the line last Thursday and is being painted right now. Sounds like you're doing a lot of traveling with your new unit. Have a safe trip home.

We have had our 3455SA almost five weeks now. Also - some minor problems. The door knob into the bedroom was on BACKWARDS. Locked from the outside! Also, the electric to the hot water heater was not hooked up. Could only run on propane. We took the unit back to the dealership the 2nd week we had it and they fixed these items. It is a 95 mile trip each way. Wish they had let us stay over a few days to check things out. However, we were going back anyway to have slide toppers installed and a special wax coating put on. Boy, is she slick out. Dirt and grime wipe right off.

My only complaint. The wardrobe is extremely narrow. As we live it this unit preparing to retire and go on the road, we sure could use more closet space.

We have had our 3455 for a few weeks now. Keystone must have been paying attention...there are several new features that are really nice and add to the positive ownership experience. I agree with Phyliis,we came from a 3400 and although we like the floor plan of the 3455 better, there is significantly less storage, especially in the bedroom/closet area. We are only weekenders so it's not a big deal to us, but I can see living in the rig full time might be somewhat crampted.

Phyllis,
Funny thing, one of the items we discovered on the walk through and PDI was the doorknob on the bedroom was on backwards as well. They must have the same guy installing them

CONGRATULATIONS to all of you with the new rigs, I remember the day we brought ours home and how excited AND overwhelmed we were (our first RV Ever). It didn't take long to get used to it and we have been in it since May '07. We absolutely love the lifestyle of full timing. If I might offer some advice, which kind of goes without saying but I will say it anyway. Use em hard and put them away wet, at least for the warranty period....But Most of all: ENJOY THOSE NEW RIGS!!!!!!
