Fulltimers

We were long timers till Sept of 18 then we sold the stick and brick and now live full time in the Monty. We bought a new 2018 3791 while in Florida. Ithas never been back to a shop anywhere. I did some adjustment to the furnace and replace toilet. Otherwise all is just fine.

Been full-timing since April 2017 , so around 2 years.

On a scale of 1 to 10, it is about a 9 (miss a garage--go figure)

Will keep doing it until we get bored and health holds out...so could be a while.

October of 2018

A couple of years earlier than planned. But took a new job in Woodland Park Co. at Andrew Wommack Ministries. Living in Green Mountain Falls and loving it. Retiring in 2021 and plan on full timing as long as possible.

New to the forum, Full Timer!

Hey there! I'm new to the forum. My wife and I just purchased our Montana High Country in April and we have been Full Timing, Stationary, since then. We are in Virginia and are totally new to travel trailers and the camping life. I hope to learn a lot from you all!

Scale of 1-10 we would rate it a 7. We are still working out the kinks. Hopefully things improve as we learn

Trish and I recently sold our home in Iowa and bought our used Montana and truck. We plan on being full timers as long as our health allows. We are currently in Tennessee and would like to stay in the area. We would like to head to Western PA in the winter to visit family.

Sandy and Bill

Been Full time since 11/11/11. New Montana owner since 6/22/19. 3854 BR
She is beautiful. Loving the automatic levelers, love the Island. Hubby loves the bonus room, AKA mancave. Just wish the loveseat was more comfortable. Anyone take out loveseat and put in a recliner? .

We sold our house in July, 2019 and started full timing in our Monty. So far, so good. Getting used to the routine but loving it. I'm still working for another year but we are free to travel. We love being able to visit our 4 children and our 15 grand kids; that's the best part. We are still learning the ins and outs but we are learning. I would rate it 8 out of 10 right now.

Full time now for 6 months due to work. Absolutely Hate it but only due to location in the middle of the desert and not being able to move or use the camper like we did in our home state that had dozens of nearby campgrounds (that didn't all look the same). About the only good things about our current location are the very nice folks we have surrounding us at the SKP campground where we are located and my grandkids living nearby. We plan to snowbird between our country estate back in Arkansas and winter in central Florida once we retire, plus a lot of traveling. That's when life will be great again and the 5th wheel will serve its original intended purpose with us being long time but not full time (or full time by choice).

We sold our four year old home in May 2019. Our kids are in college and have never moved back home. They enjoy the time with friends in their apartments in the city. We are young had the kids very young and wondered why we were spending all our time taking care of a big house. Our biggest challenge now is winter is coming. We have to spend it here in Cincy Ohio for my husbands work. His job does allow us to travel often, but not sure I can do Jan and Feb in the RV. We are spending our holidays in it and our in-laws are bringing theirs down as well for all of us to be together. I figured we might as well stay in the fifth wheel through NYE instead of spending the money on a corporate apartment during those months.

I would give it a 10 we are loving the small living and more time to be outside and just enjoy life.

Good luck with the knee's. I had both mine done but a year apart. 98 and 99 and still going just fine. the best thing to do is to be active with them.

Rick and Sharon have been full-timing since May 23, 2018 (about 15 months now. We started the year before as retirees with a TT and were in it 5 of 11 months and decided we loved the traveling but not the cost of someone else taking care of our 1-acre property so, decided to sell and go full time. We still love it! rate a 10 We still have storage and are slowly coming to terms of what to do with it. We plan to do this till health says it is impractical.

Just started this full-timing thing and really loving it. Will see how it goes over winter, since I'll be staying in Missouri, so I can keep working. It's been a dream for me for a number of years, and I almost can't believe I was finally able to make it happen. One of the things I am most impressed with is how some of the campground owners and hosts are so gracious, so willing to help a newbie and instill confidence. For all the bad stuff going on around us, it is refreshing to meet truly wonderful people.
