Just Curious

RE: Rear Kitchens. Has anyone ever seen or know of a RK unit where the stove, fireplace, tv side (curb side) has been switched with the sofa, dining room side (street side)? I would think this would be very appealing to buyers. More visibilty of people at the door and your campsite.

The first unit we saw with the desk in the back, and the kitchen with similar layout as ours, was an Everest. Have to say, it would have been a bit hard to watch Telie with the chair and couch the way they were laid out. But, we walked in there, 30 seconds in, I turned to Al and said, okkkk, YELLED!!! THIS ONE! THIS ONE!! THIS ONE!!

After looking for 5 years we finally found a floor plan that worked for us. Just so happened that the Montana version, the 3295, worked even better for us.

Used to have that Everest floor plan around here somewhere, not sure it is any more, you might check on the web.

ON EDIT: try this link, you will note, you really cannot see the telie from the lounge chair:

Carol, on our 2001 2880RL, the television was in a similar location but was on a swingout, side-hinged, platform and thus was easily visible from the lounge chair as well as the sofa. Was the Everest not this way?

Tell ya the truth Steve, I don't really remember, what vague fog is there for the memory banks on this tell me that the telie installation was much the same as what I currently have on the 3295, that being the telie is stationary, no swingout shelf.

We only looked at it one time, at the end of a RV show, after 4 hours of climbing in and out of units, and trying to explain to dealers and other "campers" why I did not want the desk by the telie, or why I even NEEDED a desk at all, we were tired, and could barely climb into the Everest.

We really did not even look in the bedroom bathroom area, and only spent about 10 minutes in the rig. So, the memory bank on this is weak at best.
