What to do at Fort Wilderness
We'll be at Disney's Fort Wilderness site 72 the last 2 weeks in February with the kids and grand kids and would like to do something to do but we don't have a clue. Anyone have suggestions? Any input would be greatly appreciated. John

Not sure what you mean. Ft Wilderness is smack in the middle of the entire Disneyworld complex. You would have all the parks for something to do. My suggestion would be to take the kids, grandkids and yourself to the parks as you are already there. You are on the park grounds and like 2 miles from the magic Kingdom main gate. We winter nearby and we both work at Disneyworld. Would be glad to help in any way we can..

My error, what i meant was shows or attractions that need reservations in advance.

Besides the parks, there is lots to do right in the campground. Movies, shows, playgrounds, pools, horse rides, food, boat rentals, on and on and on. Enjoy!

Thanks, I just found out you only need reservations for dining.

We stayed at Fort Wilderness a few years back and loved it! Watch out for the golf carts though!

Ditto the Golf Carts. We were just there at the end of Oct for 6 Days and felt out of place as we didn't rent a cart, but with all their great transporation we didn't see the need nor the expense. Just make sure you stock up on soda and beer at Wally World as the prices in the camp store will give you sticker shock big time, like $15.00 for a six-pack of beer.

You only need reservations at the "sit down)" resturants. There are plenty of Walk in restaurants that do not require reservations. Helen works at three of them in the Magic Kingdom. If you purchased a Disney package the "Meal plan" is a good value.

The Hoopty Doo Revue is at Fort Wilderness. It is a dinner show and you will need reservations. My grandkids liked it and the food was good. If you have any little princesses book them into the bippity bippity boutique. They get their nails and hair done before dressing up as one of the Disney Princesses. We also booked dinner in the castle with all the princesses after my granddaughter visited the boutique. Disney is one of my favorite destinations. You'll have a lot of fun with your family.
