Buying a 3582 rl

We are looking at buying a 2014 Montana 3582 rl to replace our Mountaineer. Does anyone have one and what do you like and not like about it? Any comments would be helpful.

We actually have the Mountaineer 358rlt which is the same in the LR/kitchen area as the 3582 , I think. This is what sold me. This is our 10th Rv and also my favorite floor plan. We wanted the all in one bath and that's why we got the Mountaineer. We moved our couch to the back window and I think that's where it is in the Montana. I love being able to access my frig when slides are in and all the counter space. I think you will enjoy the 3582. We've had our 358 for 2 years this August and every time I camp, I say, I just love this floor plan.

We love ours. We love the layout. It works well for us. We have a 2013 model. We changed the tires and got the Marathons headed in a different direction.

We have a 2012 3582 and really like it. Linda was sold on he large kitchen area with the island. There are a couple of the new layouts that show promise but we are very happy with ours. If you what anything further pm me and I would be happy to go into more detail. Good luck.

Just casual browsing at this point, but the 3582RL has also caught my eye.

Those who have 3582RLs and have weighed them. What is your loaded pin weight?

For waynemoore, here is some typical 3582RL pricing from Camping World.

Thanks for the camping world info. We are working with four dealers one in Ca one in Tx one in Ut and one in Mi. Yes I know trying to keep them straight is making me crazy. We bought our current rig from the Mi dealer (Lakeshore). The salesmen Bob was great and we were able to stay on site for several nights to be sure everything was working. All the rest have the same setup (on site RV sits) except for Ca. Plus us being an AZ resident Ca has to deliver the rig at the AZ state line? Something to do with Ca sales tax. All the others we can pickup at their dealerships. Let me tell you that being able to stay at the dealership for a few days is a big deal to me. It gives one a chance to find a problem and get it fixed without having to hall the rig back to a dealer. Pricing is very close just a few thousand dollars off so the expense to pick up the rig now becomes a factor. We live in Lake Havasu AZ right on the Ca border so the Ca dealer would be the nearest what with him delivering to the state line. However that eliminates the ability to spend time on their site to do a shake down. The Ut dealer (Camping World) is two days each way, Tx is three days each way and Wi is about five days each way. Sooooo I need to add in the extra travel expense ( fuel and RV camp space costs) to the price of the rig. Well we will see how this all shakes out.

This has been an interesting process working with these four RV dealerships. Ca, Ut and Tx were quoting 2014 units and Mi. Quoted me a 2015 rig. To my surprise Lakeshore in Mi has the best price even including my expense to drive there. So we will be picking up our new 2015 3582rl on Aug 1st.

Well we are almost home from
picking up our new 3582RL. We had our share of problems like the refrigerator would not cool so they had to steel one from another rig. But all in al we love it. This is our the 3rd keystone and have had little problems with them.

Waynemoore,
We have a 2012 year model. Very happy with it so far. As many have said I'd change out the Goodyear Marathons if you have them on your rig. I didn't and paid the price. I now have 4 different tires on my rig.

We did have the fascia boards fall down after one particular rough section of road. Fairly easy fix. Water pump replaced as original failed. So far nothing major. Good luck. HamRad

The very first thing I did was to replace the tires. Got the rig on Thursday and changed out the tires on Saturday.

We have a 2014 3582RL. We both really like the layout. We are thinking of moving the couch to the back window area and the recliners to right side. We have had some small issues but the dealer has been great about repairing all of the items. We purchased from Folsom Lake RV in Rancho Cordova, CA (Sacramento). The mattress was very uncomfortable and we changed that. Congratulations on your new RV, enjoy.

One other thing to lookout on the 3582RL are the closet doors. We forgot to latch the door and they came off the track and fortunately they did not break. We do have to replace a couple trim pieces on the inside of the door, part of the closing that keeps the doors together. One thing we did find is the doors do move back and forth even when you latch the doors. We took some floaties and cut a piece off of them and stuffed in the top part of the door and that tightened the doors up so they do not move at all. Get to your RV park and just remove the floaties. We also use the floaties on the kitchen chairs to make sure they are not rubbing on the table and other chairs. Works great.

We have a 2011 Montana 3582rl....
love the layout....
We tried changing the couch to the back window and found it would not fit - so the slides could come in.....even with the drape bracket removed below the window.

How has anyone been able to do this.....we would love the recliner (which we replaced with Lazy Boy wall hungers) across from the TV.

As waynemore stated change out the tires right away. When we bought our unit that was part of the deal. They changed the tire out for Goodyear G614's.

Joe in Texas the 2015 has the couch in the rear and theater seating across from the fireplace and TV. I don't know how long the 2011 is but the 2015 is 39.2 so maybe they added a bit more room in the rear. Also mine came with a fold out sofa without the air mattres. Take a look on the Keystone sit at the 2015.
