WA / OR for the Fall completed - thanks

Nancy and I are in Gold Beach, on our last night in Oregon. Headed for Arcata, CA, in the AM. A few days there at Mad River, then a couple of nights enroute to the Sacramento area for a week or so, then on to our Holiday Season destination, Bakersfield.

Thanks to all on the Forum who gave such timely and accurate "hints" as to routes and camping locations. Been a great ride for the past month.

We will be at the Orange Grove RV Park in Bakersfield from the weekend after Thanksgiving until mid-Jan 05. If any of you happen to be in the area, drop by. Hamrad, if you are home, we will call you there in early Dec.

Best Regards to all,

PJ and Nan,
You folks are in one of our favorite parts of the country. The Gold Beach area of OR is so nice. Wish we were there now! And what a beautiful drive down the coast to Arcata. Very nice. By the way if you're looking for a really nice park south of Eureka... I think it is about 10 miles or so south... Riverwalk RV Park in the Fortuna area. Very nice. They even have instant on telephone service at no charge. Of course Mad River is nice too.

Looking forward to seeing you folks. We'll see you in just over a month. Enjoy your trip.... like what's not to enjoy! LOL

Pat and Nancy, sounds like you are having a great trip. We really enjoyed our short visit with you in Michigan. Just wish we'd had more time. Drive safe and enjoy the rest of the trip. Bakersfield is a nice town, not at all what I expected.

We were at the Oregon coast last June and it was great. We stayed at Mad River on the way up and it is a very nice RV Park, you will enjoy it.

It has been a bit chilly in Oregon the last couple of weeks. Hope you find some warmer weather as you head south. If you have never been to the Samoa Cookhouse in Eureka, put it on your list of places to visit and especially to eat. We have friends in the Arcata area who took us there.
