Somr parks call the 38 footers Land Yachts. So I got a Beast to pull the land yacht

The new Ram with the 6.7 Cummins 800 lb. ft. torque I need to watch my speed because the DW is always watching me.

Be careful go slow, have fun.

We went from a 28' travel trailer to a 3100RL (which if I remember correctly is around 36'9" tip to tip) and we LOVE IT! It did cause us to rethink some of our favorite camping sites(state parks usually cannot accomodate us) but we have found other favorite camping sites now! As for towing the new one is heavier but we don't really notice it. We have camped in snow, rain, and heat. We love all of the amenities and the space. I am with Don and Judy. The rig is too big when parking/backing but too small when the inclement weather hits!!! In Quartzsite, much to my surprise, I ended up with my brother and his wife as house guests for 3 nights. We ended up with 5 people sleeping in the trailer and 7 people eating ALL meals in it! You can bet I was thankful for the space then!

Good luck on your decision!

We cwent from a 2880 which was 30'11" to a 3000RK which is 35'6" approx and have stayed in it for 4 months straight and had no problem. I still stay at state campgrounds, and don't want anything bigger so I can get in because of length.

We've gone from 23.5 to 28.5 to 35 and now 39+. Didnt realize there was such a thing as "to big".
