Metal on Plastic Threads !!!
Learned a lesson today. Went in to change the old shower hose from the faucets and install a new one. Dealer sold me a nice looking hose for about $10--but it had nice brass fittings. While trying to get the hose started on the faucet--cross threaded the metal connection onto the plastic faucet connection. End of story was a new faucet and a new shower hose with plastic fittings--LESSON LEARNED--either don't try metal to plastic fittings or be very careful--easy to have the metal fittings cut the plastic threads. But the shower now has a new faucet set and new shower hose--LOOKS GREAT! Also got to look under the shower thru the access plates--not much there!

Ozz--If you were closer I would have gotten the correct parts from you and skipped the "you know better than that!" lesson that I got!

I just hate plastic threads. You have my sympathy.

Maybe you should look at in a more positive, decor related way. Now you've got a faucet and shower head that match (I hope!), rather than stuck with the can't find anything to match faucet with a not matching shower head.
