adding 12 volt sockets

Has any one with a 3400 added any 12 volt sockets ( plugs) I asked before, I only had one thread on the subject. I know many of you must have added one or two somewhere in your rig. I will be pluging in 12v fan and a 12v converter for my TV and a car charger for the phone.

I replaced one of the lights under the cabinet between the kitchen and the tv with a 12V socket, but I try to limit the current to 2 A max. Someone, whose name escapes me, put a socket over the vacuum cleaner, but that was ac. It would still be a good place for a dc socket, though.

You might check Oz's mods. I would be surprised if he hasn't added a 12V socket.

For general use, though, I'd stay away from existing wiring and run a suitably sized wire wherever I decided to locate the socket.
