Mountaineer Vs Montana

Are there construction differences from the Mountaineer to the Montana?

Some of the floorplans are very similar to each other.

The differences I notice are: cabinets, rear cap, mattress.

Are there any compelling reasons to choose the Montana over the Mountaineer.

there are some construction differences, they are both made in the same factory. We had a Mountaineer and now have a Montana. We like them both. The montana is upgraded Mountaineer. Look at the Keystone website and under each of the names you will find the brochure that shows the construction.

The Mountaineer has Trailair suspension and Montana Moryde. Montana has a little more insulation. From what we have seen what is in the Montana shows up in the Mountaineer about 2 years later. The Mountaineer has the bunk version and toyhauler version that Montana doesn't. Of course the Montana is a little more expensive. we traded for the Montana because of the floor plan which I see is now in the Mountaineer--3150 RL

I am sure someone else will come along and give you some of the oter differences.

The Montana has more bells and whistles...you'll have to check the rigs and the brochures to find them.

Basically it comes down to the Montana costing more for some bells and whistles. Just like the Montana versus the Big Sky.
It looks to me like the Mountaineer is a solid camper. We liked the bells and whistles, for the money, of the Montana. We also are in love with our floor plan!

We bought a Mountaineer two years ago. When looking at differences, we found the Moutaineer is set up a little different and to us seemed geared toward the weekenders or short timers. Montana's have a few more creature oomforts for extended comfort. We like the outside stove and sink and a few other features for adventure type stuff. The Montana's we looked at seemed almost to fancy for our needs
