One thing to remember, is that snow in and of itself is a great insulator. helps keep that freeaing cold out. andafter the last two days of cold weather is am thankful for the miserly 1 inch on top of the Monty. Here in beautiful downtown Allyn, Wa it got down to 22 last night, so far and this is as of 12:45 pm the temp has crawled up to 30 degrees with a north-south wind blowing. BRRRRRR!!!
Ya gotta love it! Only 1 yr and 5 months until phyllis retires here. EEEEEHAH!!!!!!

You know you got some snow up there, when you go inside to start packing for the winter escape, and it is dark in there, cause all the vents and the shower sky light are so deep under the snow that not even a glo comes in.

Took me a couple of trips out there to figure out why it was so dark in Tana, well DUHHHHHHH, there was over 12 inches of snow on top of her! After running the heat for ohhhh 3 or 4 days, we had melted off a bit, enough that light was getting in. Ahhh, yea, the ole wonderful white stuff!

Ken, we've had 14 inches of snow on ours with no problem. I would doubt you'd get enough snow up there to be a problem. Just my opinion, not based on any kind of tests.

Lucky, us, we have an ice storm coming in this afternoon. Temperatures are already down to freezing. Snow tonight but they predict no more than an inch or two. Yesterday it was 72 with a low of 51 and the past couple of weeks have been similar to that. Winter is arriving. Boo hiss. 12/27 and we head for warmer weather.
